And another!

Hello again,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying this busy time of year. Today's card uses the same stamp set as yesterday - "Bright and Beautiful", along with some All Is Calm Designer Paper and some Lost Lagoon ribbon.

This card uses the same colour palette that I've used an awful lot this year - not tired of it yet! As always, if you'd like to purchase any of the products used to make this card please contact me (see tabs at the top of the blog).

Bye for now,

Jill

Another Christmas make

Just nipping in again quickly this evening to show you another Christmas make. This one uses the "Bright and Beautiful" stamp set. This is a set of differently sized ornate stars, which coordinate with the Star framelits. They are fab for Christmas but will be useful all year I think for "Well Done" cards and maybe something for the men in my life!

What do you think? I'm loving working with shades of blue and turquoise for my cards this year!

Curvy keepsake box

Hello again,

Another quick post, this time to showcase the lovely "Curvy Keepsake Box" die. I knew I would have to have this die as soon as I saw it. There are loads of ideas on sites such as Pinterest to turn the box into all manner of things, both Christmassy and not. I've tried a couple of others which I'll show you another time but this Santa themed box is my favourite so far.

Please contact me (via the tab at the top) if you would like to purchase the die and anything else I used to make this box.

Short and sweet today!

Jill

Merry and bright

Hello again,

Just popping in again to show you one of the cards which was a big hit at my first workshop on Wednesday. At first I wasn't sure whether I was the only person who would appreciate these untraditional Christmas colours but obviously not!!

I would love to know what you think of this card and the unusual colours!

If you would like to make this card yourself you will need the Festival of Trees photopolymer stamp set (£13.95) and the co-ordinating punch (£15.50). You can purchase both at a 15% discount for £24.95. Just email me - contact details are under the "Contact" tab at the top of my blog. This has been one of my most used sets this year - love it!!

Back soon,

Jill

My first post and my first workshop

Hello there,

Welcome and thank you for taking time to drop by my blog. I guess as this is my first post I should tell you a little bit about myself.  I am Jill, 50 something,  married to Geoff and live in Chertsey, Surrey. I have three children: Jess (21), Joe (19) and Annie (17) and I work part-time as an advisory teacher, helping classroom teachers meet the needs of children with special needs.

In my spare time, I have been making handmade cards for over 21 years - I started when on maternity leave with my oldest daughter.  I have dabbled in all sorts of craft techniques when making my cards - silk painting, cross stitch etc but about 5 years ago settled on quilling (paper filigree) and have built up a small online business selling these online. A couple of years ago I came across Stampin' Up and bought a few of their products, mostly through a "virtual hostess" Stampers 10 club. I have toyed with the idea of becoming a demonstrator for a while and finally took the plunge a few weeks ago. Since then I've spent some time making up some samples and getting organised.

This week is very exciting as I will be running my first workshop - just a few friends of my sister, most of whom are brand new to crafting. I'm not really sure what to expect as I've never been to a workshop as a customer, yet about a demo. But I'm all prepared and looking forward to it.

These are the cards I will be demo-ing and then the ladies can have a go at making some for themselves. They all use the lovely "Endless Wishes" Christmas set - I love those snowflakes and the greetings are so useful in all sorts of combinations.

Wish me luck! I'll be back soon to let you know how it went.

Jill
